Personal Training

Philosophy and Background

Personal training has many facets to tap into, and there are many wonderful trainers out there that can help you in reaching your goals. That being said you might wonder “Why should I pick Zack?”

I have been in the fitness industry for over 12 years now. I began with teaching martial arts at the age of 23 at the Kung Fu school I frequented, first out of respect for the school, then as part of my curriculum for my Kung Fu training.

Then in March of 2003 I started working as a personal trainer for 24hr Fitness in Pacifica. It was a great training platform to get me ready for being on my own, but with my primary focus on fitness, I was not the sales person that they required to succeed, so in 2006 I formed Kinetic Synergy so that I could continue to focus on fitness and offer my services to individuals at their homes.

My formal training within the industry has taught me many hands-on approaches to health and fitness allowing me a plethora of training modalities to tap into and utilize for my clients. Through the ISSA (International Sport Science Association), I have earned my certifications in Fitness Training, Fitness Therapy and as a Specialist in Performance Nutrition.

I have also trained in the Martial Arts for over 22 years now, earning the rank of 1st Dan through the American Chinese Martial Arts Federation in 1998.

Fitness is a lifestyle, one that must be chosen freely, without anything forced upon you through media hype or an aggressive salesman. Finding the training modality that works best for you is why I incorporate so many different techniques. Not only is my goal to keep it fresh for you, but to stimulate the mind and spirit so that burnout doesn’t occur and you are more likely to reach your goal.

I have the pleasure of saying that I have helped hundreds of clients accomplish their training goals. My clients’ demographics vary considerably as I have worked with all types of individuals, in all age groups and in various different physical conditions.

If I had to sum up the effects of proper training into two words it would have to be:

Problem/Solution

For every problem there is always a solution, and when you can’t figure out that solution on your own, it’s time to hire a professional. It then becomes my job to find the appropriate solution and show you how to apply it on a day to day basis so that you can achieve your goal and reap the success of having accomplished something that once seemed beyond your reach.
